Christmas is Cancelled, By Order. (Maybe.)
September 2020
As Christmas 2020 approaches, we have literally no idea what's going to happen. Hooray!
We are hoping to be present in person at some Christmas Markets and Winter Fairs (details TBC.) But with things the way they are, can we promise those will go ahead? Not really...
However
We also offer our online service and you can buy our tins as a present for someone else. We can gift wrap them and even include a personal message from you.
Unlike the public shows, our online sales are something we have full control over and we can promise you this: we aren't going anywhere!
So allow us to take care of your Christmas Shopping and send delicious, useful and delightful presents to your friends and family, from the safety and comfort of your own home.
***The Obligatory Coronavirus Update***
July 2020
Winter and Christmas 2019 was a very busy period, with markets and stands in numerous locations across the country. We welcomed new and repeat customers and thank you all for your custom and support.
We entered 2020 full of optimism with plans for a shortbread revolution spreading to all the four corners of the globe and with world-wide, biscuity domination at the forefront of our minds...
And then.. well, we all know what happened then. A sneaky virus known as Covid-19 had had a similar idea. Just without the crumbs.
BUT, we are not to be beaten, and we still believe that a cup of tea and an excellent biscuit can make everything better.
Unfortunately restrictions mean you still can't share them with many people in person, but that does mean you can eat more yourself.
Instead we encourage you to send tins to friends and family, to let someone know you're thinking of them, spread a little joy and share a cuppa and a biscuits remotely.
Announcing our New Tins: Not Two, but Three New Designs!
March 2020
Those of you who came to see us at certain select shows before Christmas may have got a sneak preview of our new tins...
We are proud to announce: The Joys of Spring and Beside the Seaside. Find them on our Shop page now.
(And as an early - admitted very early - festive surprise, we're also announcing our new, explicitly Christmas-themed tin, The Night Before Christmas as well!
Take the Biscuit is among the Great Taste winners of 2019!
August 2019
Out of 12,772 products sent in from over 100 different countries, Take the Biscuit has been awarded a single-star Great Taste award, which means judges dubbed it a food that delivers fantastic flavour.
Judged by over 500 of the most demanding palates, belonging to food critics, chefs, cooks, restauranteurs, buyers, retailers and producers, as well as a whole host of food writers and journalists, Great Taste is widely acknowledged as the most respected food accreditation scheme for artisan and speciality food producers. As well as a badge of honour, the unmistakeable black and gold Great Taste label is a signpost to a wonderful tasting product, which has been discovered through hours and hours of blind tasting by hundreds of judges.
We are incredibly proud to have been awarded this distinguished stamp of excellence based purely on taste alone, and on our first time of entering!
