Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions are applicable in the case of anyone purchasing products from us.

We are Rachel Kitchen and Tobias Showan, trading as Take the Biscuit. Our business address is 20 St Jacobs Place, Canterbury, CT1 3TU. To contact us please email hello@takethebiscuitshortbreadshapes.co.uk or send a letter to the above address.

Take the Biscuit sells handmade and uniquely designed shortbread biscuits in limited edition tins. The designs, artwork, wording and graphics are the property of Take the Biscuit.

Your Order:

When you place an order you will receive an acknowledgement of the order. Once it has been paid for we will start processing your order, subject to availability and our acceptance of the order.

Confirmation of your order will be sent from our Online Store which is powered by Ecwid.

When you pay online through our store your payment is processed by WePay and the payment will appear on your Bank Statement as WPY*

All orders are subject to availability. Should we be unable to fulfil your order we will let you know as soon as possible by contacting you using the details you provide at the time of ordering.

Every effort will be made to send the order as described on the website. Occasionally styles and sizes of the contents may change and Take the Biscuit reserve the right to make changes if deemed necessary. Our products may vary slightly from the pictures on the website. Please be aware that our products are all made by hand and due to the artisanal nature, the biscuits may vary slightly in size, shape and design.

Allergens:

Allergen information and ingredients are listed both on our products and on the website. Please be aware that our biscuits are not gluten free or dairy free. Although our biscuits are not made with nuts, they are produced in a kitchen where nuts are used and so may contain traces of nuts. They are not guaranteed to be nut free.

Cancelling an order:

Should you wish to cancel an order please contact us as soon as possible by phone or email. Provided the order has not already been processed or dispatched we will cancel the order and issue a refund. If the order has already been processed then cancellation will be at the discretion of the partners and we will not necessarily be able to cancel it.

Unless the order is deemed faulty then we will not be able to issue refunds on a food order.

Complaints:

We hope you will be fully satisfied with your order, but should this not be the case and you have a complaint then please contact us by email. We will do our best to respond as soon as possible.

Delivery Terms:

By accepting our terms and conditions you are also accepting our delivery terms and information (this can be found by following the link at the bottom of the page).

Deliveries

Standard Delivery

We aim to dispatch the your parcel within 3-4 working days of placing your order. All items are sent via Royal Mail First Class/Second Class or Parcel Force 24. Please note that Saturdays, Sundays and UK Bank Holidays are not classed as working days.

Should you require Next Day Delivery or delivery within 2 days please get in touch to ensure this is possible. There may be an additional cost, and we cannot guarantee that it will always be possible to arrange Next Day Delivery.

If you require delivery on or by a certain date please make us aware of this by using the message box when ordering.

We are not responsible for delays outside our control. We guarantee that your order will leave our premises in perfect condition and with delivery time as stated. We will wrap and package your order in a manner that is suitable and adequate for being transported. Once it has left the premises it is out of our control and we cannot be held responsible for any damage incurred in transit or any delays incurred whilst out for delivery.

Should your parcel be returned to us, owing to our delivery partners not being able to successfully deliver to you or make contact with you, you will be solely liable for any additional delivery charges for re-delivery. If at this stage, you require a refund, the cost of any postage or return to sender fees incurred by Take the Biscuit will be deducted from your order amount, before the remainder of the refund is given.

Take the Biscuit does not accept any responsibility for any loss or delay or other disruption regarding deliveries brought about as a result of an inaccurate or incomplete delivery address given at the time of order or delayed payment (cleared funds).
